Building Power, Nourishing Possibility

I am Dr. Matthew White- it's a pleasure to find you here. I am a labor educator, facilitator, writer, and nonprofit leader whose work brings together heart, mind, body, and soul in service of collective possibility. My practice connects community organizing and reflective learning to help people build power, deepen belonging, and sustain their humanity.

The work often looks like this...

  • Large-group facilitation

  • Leadership development and training

  • Strategic conversations and team retreats

  • Regenerative organizing workshops — Learning experiences that connect movement-building with renewal, belonging, and sustained collective power. This is my signature framework.

  • Keynotes, panels, and conversations exploring leadership, liberation, whole-person practice, and courageous action.

  • Arts and community programming .

My Practice

I believe in making an offering of body, mind, spirit, and heart—to become more whole, and to make room for others to do the same. You will find that offering here in many forms: teaching, organizing, music, prayer, storytelling, and the embodied ways we claim our dignity and belonging. Perhaps that is my little apostasy: a belief that we can bring our whole selves into the work and be taken seriously.

Sometimes I am praying. Sometimes I am inviting people to a rally or action. Sometimes I am sharing the vulnerability and freedom of being at home in my own body. These are sacred practices through which I help cultivate spaces of belonging, regeneration, and possibility.

I want this space, and every space I inhabit, to leave people feeling loved, empowered, and a little more awake. When people remember their worth, they change the ground they walk on.  I lead and love from this place. If that's of use to you, I invite you to learn more about me and how we can partner.

Go Gently.

A story for the whole self

My children’s book, The Owl Who Didn’t Who, is another expression of the care at the heart of my work. I invite you to explore the story and share it with someone you love
